  1. I really like how your brush work conveys the topographic verticality of the slope. I also like the big sun looming over the landscape, I think it gives it design interest and conveys blistering heat.

  2. Man I really like how clearly this piece reads, both shape- and value-wise. Really well done. I wish I could tell what's happening on the cliff though. Other than that, awesome as usual Spencer!

  3. Love the lifework on this but I think you could push the values a bit more. It's tricky balancing the differences between line work and shadow and having them work together.

  4. Linework is great! It looks like it came straight from a comic strip. Very simple, but reads really well. The only issue I have is the blurred, thick, curved black line in the lower left corner. The thickness of it compared to the other lines makes it a focal point and I don't think that's what you're going for. Great piece!
