Jeremy Nixon - Environment Design in Value

  1. I love how clean your work always looks. The perspective is great, and I think your values are pretty spot on as well. Maybe try adding some texture to the building, like bricks in the walls, or shingles on the roof. It looks awesome man!

  2. This is awesome Jeremy! my only suggestion would be to push some darker darks, its a little high key, If you want it to be high key keep it that way it looks awesome!

  3. Agree with both above. I'd also like to see some of the scratchy line work you've brought into some of your other pieces. some variation in line weight would help focus the viewer to a certain area. Right now it's all just sitting looking very nice but with no focal point.

  4. This is gorgeous! I love the clean lines and the complexity of the buildings. Very simple but reads very clearly. I agree with Rachel that adding a focal point would help. Maybe adding a subtle gradient in the sky behind the buildings would help bring them forward?

  5. This reminds me of something Norman Rockwell would put in his backgrounds as part of his ideal American world. It's really just a pleasant, clean, country place it seems

  6. I would love to see more in the background and foreground of this. Without much of a background, it leaves me pretty uneasy(?) wanting to know more about where this is.
